New
England Region SCCA
Watch for a Spring 2005 Worker Training and
Fire Safety School
![]()
When: April 2005
Where: New Hampshire International Speedway
Who: Anyone who has interest in learning about motor sports safety from the worker's perspective.
Time: 9.30 a.m. until approximately 4.00 p.m.
Purpose: This purpose of the safety schools is to offer participants the opportunity to experience real life emergencies in a controlled environment. There will be classroom as well as field training. We hope to give all who attend the chance to discharge a fire extinguisher in a real fire situation as well as learn and practice driver extrication techniques.
How: The school is being sponsored by the New England Region of the Sports Car Club of America.
Insurance regulations require all participants must be SCCA members. 90-day temporary memberships will be available at registration at NO cost.
Why: This school is being presented with the intention that anybody involved in motor sports should have some basic safety knowledge. In the event of an emergency, regardless of what organization a person belongs to, they should have the training to help. The New England Region hopes that your club will consider sending any members who could use this type of training. We are able to adjust for pit crew members and stewards to make the learning more directed to the situation.
